This guided hypnosis is designed to induce lucid dreaming. To Lucid dream is to become conscious within a dream. Once conscious and aware, you can direct events in any way you like. You may for example want to act out some of your fantasies, seek answers to real life problems or gain other meaningful insight through thoughtful interactions. If you would like to give this hypnosis a try, it is best to do so an estimated 30 mins before you would usually fall asleep. Hello my name is Jody and I would like you to make yourself comfortable. Please choose any position you would like to relax easily so you may if you would like to, drift off to sleep while you listen to this recording. You may relax best and quiet your mind if you are lying down on something you are familiar with in a time and a place where you are unlikely to be interrupted. If you are interrupted by a pet, family member or even the urge to scratch and itch or cough that's okay. These things happen and it is best to remain cool and calm while you take care of whatever it is that needs to be taken care of and you will be able to return to your previous state of complete relaxation quickly, picking up where you left off or skipping back a little bit in this video if that is what you would prefer to do. Before we begin there are a few things that are important for you to know so I will include them in this introduction and if at any time you wander when the hypnosis will begin you can rest easy knowing the hypnosis has begun already. In this introduction there are suggestions to help you relax a little bit more each moment and prepare your mind so it will be ready soon to drift off into a deep sleep and have interesting and enjoyable dreams that you will be able to remember. If you listen very carefully you can relax knowing the only things you need to do are drift off into a very deep, long, sound and restful sleep until you decide it is the right time for you to wake up. You are always the one in control here, and as you allow yourself to relax a little bit more as each moment passes, as your mind becomes cleaner, clearer and more focused, you may notice you are gaining more and more control over your own mind and this is a very good thing. If you feel it would be more enjoyable for you to spend some time alone and quiet within your own mind, listen to the quiet in your room. Just allow my the sound of my voice to slip away from your awareness and if you listen very closely with a quiet mind you may hear some humming or buzzing noises and if at any time you do this is wonderful and it may be good for you and it may help very much with your deepening relaxation if you just spend some time listening to these sounds and appreciate what some of us call the 'room tone' or the 'room sound'. Just to help us both relax and feel better if may be a good idea to take a few nice deep breaths to give our brain cells a little bit of extra oxygen and help them relax and function at their best. Any time you are ready you can join in if you feel like it..breath in..and the sound of your breath going out softens and relaxes you and you can breath normally in between these deep breaths or just breath anyway you would like because it all works whether you follow the instructions or just listen or just allow your self to drift and wander whatever you do that makes you feel better will do just fine..and another breath in and out listening to my words if that's okay or if not letting the sound go and focusing on something else that is relaxing or interesting..there will always be a part of your mind listening even if you don't feel like paying attention any more or even if you fall asleep..and one more time in....and..enjoy doing what ever it is you are doing as you just let it all go..relaxing a little bit more with each breath..and I can count backwards from three and with each number I say you can sink deeper into hypnosis, deeper into a trance, or just deeper into into relaxation where you may sink deeply down into almost sleep and still be able to hear the sound of my voice or the words I am saying and with each number your relaxation can triple and you can go many times deeper into your own pleasant, deeply relaxed and quiet mind..ready..and only if you are ready..three two one..go deeper now..and any time I count from three to one you will be able to deeply relax yourself many times deeper and you can enjoy these pleasant feelings of deepening .......

If you are not familiar with my easy lucid dreaming recordings, they are about taking ancient yogic meditation techniques used by swamis, tibetan monks, and the like, and mixing them with more modern hypnosis and hypnotic suggestions to do all I can think of doing to help you have a lucid dreaming experience. This has worked for many people, I'm guessing millions by now. LIKE ALL LUCID DREAMING TRACKS THIS TRACK ISN'T FOR THOSE WHO WORRY, HAVE ANXIETY, DEPRESSION OR ANGER PROBLEMS OR OTHER EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS A bit about dreaming to explain why this track isn't for those who worry, often experience anxiety, depression, anger or other high emotions and also this will inform when it is best not to try lucid dreaming: Dreaming is where your brain updates your neurology and processes information from the day. It does this metaphorically & significantly increases the emotions, so annoyance during the day may be anger in a dream, anxiety during the day may become fear or panic in the dream, etc while your brain processes this information. This process uses guided meditation to help focus your attention on relaxing and a technique called anchoring (linking a trigger to a response, like Pavlov's Dogs, so when you hear the trigger, you know that is a sign to become aware of what is going on for you) to help you to prepare for lucid dreaming and then to help you lucid dream at the times you dream through the night (the trigger sound happens roughly every 90 minutes from once I stop talking, to coincide with your sleep cycle of dreaming roughly every 90 minutes throughout the night). With regular use and practice you can improve your lucid dreaming skills and get that fine balance between waking enough to be lucid and the dream and holding yourself in that place, vs waking all the way out of sleep (Similar to the process used in dreaming apps like the Dream:On app). You want the volume to be as low as possible while still being able to hear this track so that it doesn't distract you or suddenly jolt you awake when the trigger sound happens. The research on lucid dreaming shows the approach that generally works best seems to be what is done here, but ideally via an app, not a video so that it can be accurate. Here I am using approximations, whereas with an app the trigger would sound once the app detects that you have entered a dream (based on the fact that you will have entered sleep paralysis and the app on your smart phone resting on your bed detects that movement has stopped and then makes the trigger sound). Here I have to try to get it about right for the average listener. It takes the average person about 15 minutes to fall asleep. Generally, if you fall asleep faster than 10 minutes you are over tired, if you take longer than 20 minutes then you are also likely to have some sleep difficulties like insomnia (and this track isn't designed for people who don't have a healthy sleep pattern already as those with insomnia may also have other issues like excessive worrying, depression, anxiety, all things which would mean not only would they likely take longer to sleep, but they will over-dream and have significantly more highly emotional negative emotion dreams as emotions in dreams are heightened versions of the emotion from the day. So, if you are irritated by something during the day and you don't act on this (so your brain is going to have to close that pattern in your dream) then that irritation feeling during the day would perhaps be anger in the dream. If you had a situation where you felt anxious during the day and that patterns needs closing in the dream, then you may feel panic or terror in the dream). So, this isn't for those with anxiety, depression or who worry or have anger problems. The idea is for this to be listened to at a nice, quiet level where you can hear me, but at the quietest level possible to hear me. You don't want to be straining to hear, but, like with my guided sleep meditations, you want it to be just gentle, quiet background noise so that when I stop talking, you barely (if you aren't already asleep) notice and when the trigger sounds (like with my sleep meditations, where, if you are listening quietly, you barely notice when I pause speaking or start speaking again, if you listen too loud my voice could startle you awake, a clear sign the volume was too loud), it is just a faint sound in the background, not something you had playing so loud that it wakes you up fully. I get people saying they wish the talking part was longer as they aren't asleep when I finish talking. If they aren't asleep, then it probably isn't the track for them as it has taken them over 20 minutes to fall asleep, so they probably have some sleep problems and for the average person it would mean that they fell asleep within 10-20 minutes, but instead of the countdown to the first trigger, I would still be talking to help those who struggle to sleep, to sleep which means for most listeners this track would then be out of sync with them and only in sync with people with sleep problems, when I want this to be in sync with the majority of people and this isn't for people with sleep problems as they are most prone to have highly emotional dreams and probably dreams they wouldn't want to be lucid in.

Please choose any position you would like to relax easily so you may if you would like to, drift off to sleep while you listen to this recording. You may relax best and quiet your mind if you are lying down on something you are familiar with in a time and a place where you are unlikely to be interrupted. If you are interrupted by a pet, family member or even the urge to scratch and itch or cough that's okay. These things happen and it is best to remain cool and calm while you take care of whatever it is that needs to be taken care of and you will be able to return to your previous state of complete relaxation quickly, picking up where you left off or skipping back a little bit in this video if that is what you would prefer to do. Before we begin there are a few things that are important for you to know so I will include them in this introduction and if at any time you wander when the hypnosis will begin you can rest easy knowing the hypnosis has begun already. In this introduction there are suggestions to help you relax a little bit more each moment and prepare your mind so it will be ready soon to drift off into a deep sleep and have interesting and enjoyable dreams that you will be able to remember. If you listen very carefully you can relax knowing the only things you need to do are drift off into a very deep, long, sound and restful sleep until you decide it is the right time for you to wake up. You are always the one in control here, and as you allow yourself to relax a little bit more as each moment passes, as your mind becomes cleaner, clearer and more focused, you may notice you are gaining more and more control over your own mind and this is a very good thing. If you feel it would be more enjoyable for you to spend some time alone and quiet within your own mind, listen to the quiet in your room. Just allow my the sound of my voice to slip away from your awareness and if you listen very closely with a quiet mind you may hear some humming or buzzing noises and if at any time you do this is wonderful and it may be good for you and it may help very much with your deepening relaxation if you just spend some time listening to these sounds and appreciate what some of us call the 'room tone' or the 'room sound'. Just to help us both relax and feel better if may be a good idea to take a few nice deep breaths to give our brain cells a little bit of extra oxygen and help them relax and function at their best. Any time you are ready you can join in if you feel like it..breath in..and the sound of your breath going out softens and relaxes you and you can breath normally in between these deep breaths or just breath anyway you would like because it all works whether you follow the instructions or just listen or just allow your self to drift and wander whatever you do that makes you feel better will do just fine..and another breath in and out listening to my words if that's okay or if not letting the sound go and focusing on something else that is relaxing or interesting..there will always be a part of your mind listening even if you don't feel like paying attention any more or even if you fall asleep..and one more time in....and..enjoy doing what ever it is you are doing as you just let it all go..relaxing a little bit more with each breath..and I can count backwards from three and with each number I say you can sink deeper into hypnosis, deeper into a trance, or just deeper into into relaxation where you may sink deeply down into almost sleep and still be able to hear the sound of my voice or the words I am saying and with each number your relaxation can triple and you can go many times deeper into your own pleasant, deeply relaxed and quiet mind..ready..and only if you are ready..three two one..go deeper now..and any time I count from three to one you will be able to deeply relax yourself many times deeper and you can enjoy these pleasant feelings of deepening relaxation whenever you choose to or whenever you hear me say these numbers..three two one.......
