Sky News host Alan Jones says the world needs “more Trumps and fewer Bidens” as the former president celebrates his 75th birthday. “Trump celebrated the day with family and friends,” Mr Jones said. “Coincidentally, Trump’s birthday coincided with National Flag Day, which celebrates America’s flag. I could not think of a more fitting day for Trump’s birthday to land on.” Mr Jones said Donald Trump was “one of the most patriotic presidents America’s ever had” and “we have not seen the last of him yet”. “He is being vindicated as the months go on,” he said. “Let’s hope he has another go in 2024.”

European settlement brought a level of civilisation to this continent that the original nomadic inhabitants had failed to achieve despite tens of thousands of years living here. That European-style civilisation continues to thrive today, and provides all Australians - especially Aborigines, through generous grants and concessions from the government - with the opportunity to achieve standards of education and prosperity that are the envy of the world. Also, our bureaucracies are riddled with advisory bodies and indigenous representatives with tens of billions of dollars to spend. And yet... we are now being asked to rewrite our Constitution to add another permanent body for, in Alan Jones' words, "the whinging, whining, ungrateful minority of Aboriginal activists". It's time Australians stood up and said, enough! From the Alan Jones Show, 8pm AEST Tuesdays and Wednesdays on ADH.TV. Sky News host Alan Jones says Deputy Mayor of Alice Springs Jacinta Price "must be in National Parliament". "This Saturday she will contest pre-selection for the coveted Senate spot for what is in the Northern Territory, the Country Liberal Party," Mr Jones said. "It has ruffled a few feathers because the spot is currently held by Samantha McMahon from the last Federal Election. "But with no reflection on Sam McMahon, Jacinta Price must be in the National Parliament. "We go on about Indigenous representation, this woman belongs in the fair dinkum stakes. "She is needed in the Parliament because, sadly, the rest are what my old man would say, 'all hat and no cattle.' Mr Jones also spoke with Ms Price who said in a democracy there should be opportunity to "challenge" a sitting senator. "We live in a democracy so we should have an opportunity to be able to challenge a sitting senator," she said.
Sky News host Alan Jones says it is "impossible to believe" presidents and prime ministers have been listening to Greta Thunberg. "She's the ultimate metaphor of the Glasgow conference," Mr Jones said. "Plenty of shouting, plenty of noise, heaps of irrelevance."

Whenever you hear a politician talking climate change policies, remember it equals the “further impoverishment of our society,” says Sky News host Alan Jones. “I have said, over and over again, you can't get any sensible debate on this,” he said. It comes as the Coalition is discussing a pathway to net-zero emissions by 2050, with pressure mounting on Australia to commit to the target. “Someone has to ask Australians, is this a world we are prepared to enter? “Everyone it seems, with few exceptions - media, business and politicians have joined the mad rush, frightened to get into the public place and argue another position, the most important being we are a fossil fuel superpower,” Mr Jones said. “I don't know any world champion in anything who just surrenders the title. “We are a world superpower in fossil fuels; we should be proud of it and market it to the world.”
Sky News host Catherine McGregor has bid farewell to Alan Jones, who departed from Sky News Australia on Thursday night. "The Twitterati were dancing on his grave overnight," Ms McGregor said. "But all I can say is the man that I know is a man of great heart, great compassion, and great decency. "Jonesie, we'll miss you here."
Sky News host Alan Jones has defended himself against the "absolute rubbish" claim he argues coronavirus is nothing more than a flu. "I note a newspaper story that says that I have always argued that the coronavirus is nothing more than a flu and therefore how irresponsible am I," Mr Jones said. "That, of course, is absolute rubbish. Mr Jones said he has regularly quoted the Prime Minister himself in an address to the nation from March 15 2020. In that speech the prime minister said "the truth is that while many people will contract this virus that it’s clear, just as people get the flu each year, it is a more severe condition than the flu, but for the vast majority ... around 8 in 10 is our advice, it will be a mild illness and it will pass." "I have never said the virus was only a flu I've merely argued the prime minister's position," Mr Jones said. "This business about me saying coronavirus was nothing more than a flu is not borne out by my persistent references to the Prime Minister's own statement to the nation on March 15 last year as I've indicated above."

Sky News host Alan Jones says politicians totally preoccupied with coronavirus are forgetting the victims of the devastating bushfires are still living with the ordeal. “There is barely a problem we face that has not been created by government,” he said. He pointed to the Berejiklian government and “all her lefties” who introduced the Koala tax five months ago. The Koala Inspection and ecological tests are required environmental inspections of properties which were burnt down during the bushfires. These tests could cost more than $5,000. “I am sure (the NSW government is) bursting with pride. Putting this burden on people who had gone through the bushfire ordeal,” Mr Jones said. “Can we just dismantle, straight away, the red herring that the horror bushfire season was a consequence of global warming”. Mr Jones spoke with Sky News host Peta Credlin and Eurobodalla Shire Mayor Liz Innes about those continuing to feel the effects of the Black Summer bushfires. Image: Getty
Greta Thunberg and those who “condone her alarmist nonsense” are tragically destroying young people, according to Sky News host Alan Jones. “We have learned that vulnerable students have fallen through the cracks over coronavirus,” he said. “We have been told that schools don't have a proper review process to prevent - a frightening term - suicide clusters. “Young people are constantly comparing themselves to others on social media and suffering mental health problems as a result.” Mr Jones said there is “two blunt answers” as to how this crisis has “accelerated to this point”. “The first is an appalling absence of political leadership,” he said. “But young people are being confronted by uninformed, disinformed, illiterate and often innumerate protest leaders urging young people to march for causes they don’t understand based on arguments that can’t be proven and trading on fear which is destructive. “Why have leaders in the western world given international exposure to the uninformed and disinformed utterances of Greta Thunberg?” Greta Thunberg’s “dishonest, alarmist rubbish” is now seeing its manifestation in massive emotional and psychological instability in young people, according to Mr Jones. “It is a farce; a sickening farce.”
One thing you won’t get in all of the COVID-19 press conferences “is truth,” according to Sky News host Alan Jones. “I inflicted the ultimate pain upon myself by watching an absurd press conference on Friday by Gladys Berejiklian,” Mr Jones said. “I hope you don’t submit yourself to such punishment every day. The recurring theme was stay at home, uttered a million times. “You saw them all on stage, Hazzard, the sign language interpreter, Chant, Worboys, and then a retinue of assembled media. Why weren’t they staying at home?” Mr Jones noted that Dr Kerry Chant “had something in her eye” and the Health Minister Brad Hazzard gave her a tissue for it. “His hands are all over it … and she puts it all over her face and puts it in her eye,” he said. “All of which we are being told not to do.”

US President Joe Biden should not be let “out of bed” after he committed a series of embarrassing blunders, says Sky News host Alan Jones. “Here, the President of the United States confuses a telephone for television,” Mr Jones said. “Television, telephone, I suppose in Biden's state of mind they're all the same. “This is a violation of aged, isn’t it?”
Alan Jones on some of the week's biggest stories: * With petrol, energy and cost-of-living all rising, Australian households are more worried about the state of their finances than at any time in the past 30 years, according to a Westpac survey. * Qantas's sacking of 1700 workers in 2021 was ruled illegal twice in the Federal Court; Qantas appealed to the High Court, which unanimously upheld the Federal Court's decision. The Transport Workers Union says the airline's board should go. * Former Liberal federal Cabinet member Stuart Robert has been referred to the National Anti-Corruption Commission for allegedly misusing his position as a senior minister. * Government's expensive new housing policy is won't build enough homes to house the migrants the government is allowing into the country. * As the kids who emerge from our education system get dumber, our teachers are paid more - their wages have risen five times faster than other teachers across the OECD. Sky News host Alan Jones says putting Joe Biden in the position of "leading the world's democracies" is "elder abuse" and there must be a "presidential resignation" soon. "China is militarising ports across our region. It has invaded Taiwan's airspace. What did the leader of the free world have to say in his first address about any of that? Nothing," Mr Jones said. "And no mention of Israel, with reports in the last 48 hours that former Secretary of State John Kerry, now Biden's Climate Change Tsar, dished details of covert Israeli actions to the Iranians. "And you mean to say this bloke, Biden, isn't cognitively delinquent?" Mr Jones pointed to a video grab from President Biden's address to Congress where the president appeared to stumble over his words and lose his flow of speech. "Putting Biden in this position of leading the world's democracies is elder abuse. His incoherence is not new, but it surely can't go on - there will have to be a presidential resignation shortly. "If we don't think the free world is in a mess, we are bad students of the current international situation."

Sky News host Alan Jones says "woke stuff has gone a step further" in New Zealand as trans weightlifter Laurel Hubbard has won the University of Otago's sportswoman of the year award. "Hubbard was born a male, and then transitioned to female in her 30s, absolutely nothing wrong with that," Mr Jones said. "You'd feel ripped off if you were a biological woman wouldn't you? "The notion that someone born a male is entitled to be considered in the same sports category as someone born a female is more than about accepting one another, it seems to be about rewarding biological difference."
We can all say goodbye to the end of the “era of the conviction politician,” according to Sky News host Alan Jones. “The weathervane politician is now a worldwide phenomenon,” he said.
Former Prime Minister John Howard is right in his assessment the Voice to Parliament will “create a new cockpit of conflict”, says host Alan Jones. Mr Jones said Mr Howard also hit out at Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for making only “banal generalisations” about the referendum – and how much money has been spent to see so little progress. “John Howard, you’re dead right,” he said. Sky News host Alan Jones has grilled NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell over the declining standards of education in the state. "You're responsible for the education of all kids in NSW so they must meet certain curriculum standards," Mr Jones said. Mr Jones raised a number of examples of "inappropriate" content that has been taught in schools around NSW. Mr Jones said to Ms Mitchell that these issues had all been "raised in the parliament of NSW" so surely a member of her staff would've informed her that "these schools have to be spoken to". "This stuff has all been raised in the parliament of New South Wales - why wouldn't a staff member say this has to be done and these schools have to be spoken to?" Mr Jones also said if everything was being done to improve education standards then "taxpayers" wouldn't feel like they're "not getting their money's worth". "I have to say to you Sarah Mitchell, if all of that was happening we wouldn't be 16th in the world for reading and taxpayers wouldn't feel that they're wasting 100 thousand million dollars on education - they're not getting their money's worth." Ms Mitchell said she has "made it clear" that she is against politicisation of the classroom. "I've made it clear to not have that politicisation in the classroom," she said. "I've been really strong on it but I also think there is more that we clearly need to do."
Sky News host Alan Jones says the proposed 'Folau Law' would simply give legal protection to people who express their religious views, and anyone with "half a brain" would think that's fine. It comes as several Liberal MPs are pushing Attorney-General Michaelia Cash to amend the draft Religious Discrimination Bill, including scrapping the so-called 'Israel Folau Law'. The 'Folau Law' would prevent employers from taking action against employees for expressing their religious beliefs in a private capacity. Mr Jones said the issue "derives from a misconception that we're a secular society". "In the last census, that found that 63 per cent of Australians admitted on the census and indicated on the census that they held specific religious views - over 50 per cent of those were Christians," he told Sky News host Peta Credlin. "I don't know what these lefties are about, but it's going to be potentially electorally damaging."
‘Had they been told 10 million middle-income Australians would lose the low and middle-income tax offset at the next budget, Labor would not have been elected.’ Alan Jones believes Albanese’s government was elected based on false hope. 17/02/15 Chris Bowen struggles to name tax-free threshold during Alan Jones interview
Sky News host Alan Jones says he is "very pro-coal mining" and he doesn't "swallow all this zero-emissions rubbish". "I have campaigned for years in relation to this mob Shenhua, Chinese owned, on the Liverpool Plains. Not some of the best farming land in the country; some of the best in the world," he said. "Yet here were Shenhua with a proposal for three mine pits, 35 square kilometres do you mind, and they had bought 21,500 hectares of the best land. Black soil plains. This battle has been going on for over six years. "I remember battling with Michael Baird, as Premier, who kept on saying that the black soil plains were off-limit. But on the Government's own maps, that I saw, the Shenhua project is on gazetted flood plains. And we are not even mining for quality coal." Mr Jones discussed the buyback of 6,500 hectares of land in the Liverpool Plains from Shenhua by the Berejiklian government worth $100 million with NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro.
