[The 62nd All Japan Karatedo Championship Tournament] 6 JUL,7 JUL 2019 🤍 The All Japan Karatedo Championship Tournament will be held in the two days as 6th and 7th July. This tournament is organised by the Japan Karate Association which was founded by supreme students of master GICHIN FUNAKOSHI, the founder of Shotokanryu Karate. Karate competition will be held in Tokyo Olympics in 2020 which will be the first time Karate competition will appear as a formal Olympic game. That Tokyo Olympics will be held in next year. The original stating point for this remarkable historic event could be the first All Japan Karatedo Championship Tournament which was held in October 1957 in Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, organised by the Japan Karate Association. At that time people investigated how kick and punch, the most fundermental techniques of Karate, could be performed so properly as a ultimate blow to the opponent which decides winning or losing of the competition. In Japanese it is called as "Kime". The concept of this Kime is based on the characteristic idea of Karate, to defeat the opponent completely by one blow. It is the ultimate goal of Karate to realize this Kime. People keep trainning Karate's techniques quite concentrated and condensed way so that they can realize this Kime. Accordingly the rule Sun Tome was settled so that people can perform their skill in a safe way. By this Sun Tome rule all the people who compete Kumite have to stop their punch and kick just before it hits the opponent's body. This is the exact point by which Karate as Budo clearly distinguish itself from other sports Karate where people compeat by gaining more points. During the tournament which takes over that original starting concept and where people compete by Kumite and Kata, you will find several young Karate masters who might open the new page of Karate's history. Your eyes will be the witnesses of the history. Hopefully everybody will enjoy this 62nd All Japan Karatedo Championship Tornament which has the biggest scale and longest history with full contents!! 🤍

Le YOSEIKAN BUDO était présent lors du Festival des Arts Martiaux Nord-Europe qui se tenait Samedi 17 octobre 2015 au Davo Pévèle Arena d'Orchies à 20h00. Le Maître Hiroo Mochizuki a hérité de son père le Judo, le Karaté, l’Aïkido, le Sabre et d’autres arts martiaux. Afin de conserver ce patrimoine unique, il a regroupé ses connaissances au sein d’une pratique nommée Yoseikan Budo. Les pratiquants de ce style sont reconnaissables à leur tenue particulière : veste bleue, pantalon blanc et ceinture bleue et blanche, couleurs qui évoquent les vagues de l’océan, dont le mouvement ondulatoire est à la base du principe dynamique du Yoseikan Budo. C’est Nordine Boumahammed, formé par Salah MOUHOUB, responsable du Yoseikan Budo en Algérie, et par l'école Mochizuki qui a présenté une démonstration avec son équipe lors du Festival des Arts Martiaux Nord-Europe. Budo: The Art of Killing Harry J. Quini (Actor), Masayoshi Nemoto (Director) Budo: The Art of Killing is an award winning 1978 Japanese martial arts documentary created and produced by Hisao Masuda and financed by The Arthur Davis Company. Considered a cult classic, the film is a compilation of various Japanese martial art demonstrations by several famous Japanese instructors such as Gozo Shioda, Taizaburo Nakamura and Teruo Hayashi. Martial arts featured in the film include: karate, aikido, kendo, sumo, and judo among others. The only modern Japanese martial art not featured in the film is kyūdō The film moves to footage of traditional Judo training such as mat rolls, pole-hopping, bunny-hops, and practice of hip throws using rubber bands tied around trees. The film moves on to discuss naginata-do, a budō popular with female martial art practitioners in Japan. Aikido is then demonstrated by Gozo Shioda, the founder of Yoshinkan aikido interspersed with shots of leaves falling into a brook. To emphasize the film's theme of "mind and body are one in Budo" the viewer is shown Shinto practitioners fire walking. The film then shows training in a sumo stable with rikishi Takamiyama, where the training shown is both tough and cruel. Scenes of young people practicing kobudo on the beach follow the sumo demonstration as the narrator discusses the succession of Budō to younger generations. The film explains the importance of kata with Teruo Hayashi demonstrating more karate-do kumite. The narrator explains, "... karate training can be both severe and cruel, yet a sword can take away a life with one swing."
