While it is sad that Poland must do so, it is good that Poland is becoming a super power able to stand up to Russian evil. Poland will not be deceived again. Slava Poland and thank you for supporting Ukraine! Both Polish and Ukrainian people will always be welcome at our campfire in Canada.

My Polish father was 12 and my Ukraine mother was 18 at the start of world war 2, thay told me what the truth about the evil that Russians can turn too. Both where part of large families only 6 from both families made it out of Russian gulags.

The Russians started WW II in 1939 when Stalin decided to invade Poland, the Baltic nations. This Russian invasion emboldened the Nazis to continue to France and Belgium. Then, the Kremlin invaded Finland and tried to occupy Finland, but failed.

I disagree with Mr. Satter on the responsebility, because Hitler wouldn't even have gotten to his position if it wasn't for the Bolsheviks coup and take over of Russia back in 1917, before WW1 had offically ended. Hitler was a soldier in WW1 (while Stalin was a Vor) and experienced how the Communists used the chaos of war to try and destroy governments and stage bloody revolutions, also in Germany. When Hitler came to power millions of people had already been enslaved by the Soviets, millions of people were victims of Holodomors and massacres, liquidations in the name of "equality", out right genocide like what happened in Katyn (and later under Chekist/KGB/FSB Putin the Smolensk attack on Polish elite). The Soviets are as evil as can be on this earth. Read "Stalin's secret agents in the Roosevelt government" by Herbert Romerstein, and cry for what they did to Germany and Eastern Europe, including Poland, after the Second World War, in "peace time" - Soviet peace that is. To quote Orwell's "1984"; "war is peace, freedom is slavery". I love David Satter's books, and as he clearly lay it forward in his "Age of Delerium" - the Russians, the Soviets, never had to reflect or take responsibility for any of their horrendous crimes - and that's why they will continue to do them.

Stalin waited until he was sure that neither France nor Britain would come to Poland's aid. His German ally expected him to invade earlier. The Russians believe that the war started in 1941 and claim to have won it alone. They even claim that Poland and its French and British allies started WW2. Vomit inducing.

yea 1939 soviets invaded poland and the NKVD started murdering everyone. it was a perfect storm, the Nazi's killing everyone and the Stalin killing everyone.
