My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six-hundred-forty-seventh day of the war. Day 647: Dec 02 Today, there are a lot of updates from the Kherson region. Here, Ukrainian forces are actively taking advantage of the problems inside the Russian army and continue advancing. The biggest problem for Russians is that the conflict between their soldiers and commanders started to grow, and since a group of Russian soldiers refused to follow the order to attack Ukrainian positions on the islands, the revolt has spread to other detachments that are operating along the river bank. At the moment, the most intense clashes are taking place in the forest. Russian sources reported that Ukrainians firmly entrenched their positions, which is why their efforts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from the eastern bank of the river have been unsuccessful. Russian aviation and artillery units continue heavily striking the area, but, nonetheless, Russian drone footage confirms that Ukrainian marines are conducting offensive operations southwest of Krynky. A Russian fighter that is operating in the forest reported that the fighting is very heavy, and that a friendly airborne unit tried to assault Ukrainian positions just before them but failed and only 7 out of 30 soldiers survived. He noted that Ukrainians are heavily relying on artillery and reconnaissance drone operators and admitted that the coordination between them is on a very high level. He also noted that the fire support from the Russian side is minimal and said that the airstrikes are conducted blindly because his drone operators do not even have the means to communicate reconnaissance. He was discouraged by the heavy losses incurred by his own friendly units and said that they would rather try their luck to entrench and hold defense instead of attacking Ukrainian positions as ordered. Another problem faced by the Russian assault units became their own mines. As it turned out, the minefields were prepared by completely different detachments that were redeployed to other regions long ago. Due to the fact that Russian commanders have not properly coordinated with assault units about the locations of these minefields, a lot of Russians died on Russian mines. This served as a precedent for the Russian soldiers from the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade to join the group of soldiers that refused to fight, as reported last time. They said that only their detachment lost more than half a hundred men by exploding on Russian minefields. In fact, the problem is so bad that even a Russian general reportedly died on a mine. At first, it was said that he died near Krynky from machine gun fire, but later it was confirmed that it was actually a mine that killed him. Russian soldiers from the 1822nd Battalion also complained about the situation and said that they were continuously ordered to capture islands in the Dnipro River Delta despite suffering heavy losses and being allowed minimal casualty evacuations. As a result, all the abovementioned soldiers refused to conduct assaults on Ukrainian positions due to a lack of artillery coordination, tactical intelligence transmission, and proper communication about the location of Russian minefields. Moreover, Russian soldiers who actually followed the order to assume positions on the islands filmed a video to show where they were positioned. The map of the commander did not account for the tide, so the incoming water flooded their positions, and they lost almost all equipment. The soldier said that staying there is unbearable and that he is so tired that he doesn’t care anymore that Ukrainian drones might see and kill him. Russian commanders reportedly became afraid of the prevalent refusal to follow orders, and launched a hunt on those who originally voiced their complaints, causing a chain reaction throughout the whole front. In the meantime, Ukrainian forces continued attacking. As mentioned last time, during the period of bad weather that did not allow Russians to conduct aerial reconnaissance and strikes, Ukrainians replenished their supplies, rotated personnel, and deployed reinforcements. In order to facilitate the movement of the infantry, Ukrainian drone operators are focusing on destroying Russian equipment. Recently released footage shows how Ukrainians managed to identify and destroy yet another heavy thermobaric artillery system. Another video shows the destruction of a Russian tank that was involved in the counterattack southeast of the settlement.
Footage released by Defence of Ukraine appears to show the precision shot fired by Ukrainian artillerymen that destroyed a Russian Buk M2 missile system, worth approximately 30 million dollars (24 million pounds). Ukraine’s highly anticipated counteroffensive has so far failed to show significant victories. With dire consequences for its troops. A shortage of ammunition and less support from the West have brought the war against Russia to a standstill. Russia says its troops were advancing in every section of the Ukrainian front, despite observers seeing little movement. The front lines have barely shifted in 2023 but fighting has remained intense. The latest major flashpoint is the nearly encircled industrial town of Avdiivka, where Ukraine said it was fending off assaults. #russiaukrainewar #zelensky #ukraine About Channel: WION The World is One News examines global issues with in-depth analysis. Ukrainian forces blow up four Russian fuel tanks on a supply train crossing the Severomuysky tunnel. Ukraine claims to have blown up a rail line deep inside Russia which is used to move military supplies, and connects to China. Security service sources said four explosive devices were set off which damaged a fuel train crossing the Severomuysky Tunnel. Video shows flaming wreckage scattered around the tracks as pro-Russian accounts said four fuel tanks were blown up. The tunnel is located almost 2,500 miles from the Ukraine border and, if confirmed to be the work of special forces, would mark a step up in terms of the distance at which they can operate. #dailymail #ukraine #russia Daily Mail Homepage: 🤍 Daily Mail Facebook: 🤍 Daily Mail IG: 🤍 Daily Mail Snap: 🤍 Daily Mail Twitter: 🤍 Daily Mail Pinterest: 🤍 Get the free Daily Mail mobile app: 🤍

My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six-hundred-fortieth day of the war. Day 640: Nov 25 Today, there are a lot of updates from Avdiivka. Here, Russian forces finished regrouping and launched another wave of attacks. The most intense clashes took place on the northern flank of Avdiivka, where Russians did not give up on the idea of getting a foothold on the chemical plant territory. Russian sources posted footage from the Russian reconnaissance drone operators that show exactly what Russians see when they go to storm the plant. As you can see, the chemical plant is huge and has a lot of buildings and other structures that are used as fortifications. Russian sources reported that the maze of complex and unusual structures gives Ukrainians an even bigger opportunity to establish cameras for surveillance of the area or electronic warfare systems to suppress Russian drones because they are extremely difficult to detect in such a setting. When some camera or antenna is established on the side or top of the building, it stands out and is quite easy to detect, while in this maze, very often cameras, electronic warfare systems, and sometimes even ATGM positions are unnoticed. By the way, Russian analysts recently complained about the fact that Russian forces continue using the same road even though it is under total ATGM fire control. Today, a Russian soldier published a video showing a graveyard of Russian vehicles on the road in front of the chemical plant. Some analysts concluded that this is exactly the region that some complained about, however, it seems it had no influence, and the Russian commanders continue sending forces via the same road. Moreover, Ukrainians continued attacks on the Russian key logistical routes from Horlivka, as described in the previous video. Ukrainian fighters from the one-hundred-ninth brigade showed how they caught multiple pieces of equipment in Verkhnotoretske. In one raid, Ukrainians destroyed 1 satellite communication system, 1 howitzer, 1 armored fighting vehicle, 3 trucks with personnel or equipment, and 3 cars used by Russian soldiers. Such actions impeded Russia's ability to launch a new wave of attacks. Nonetheless, the Russians received the order to advance with the forces that they managed to accumulate. The first vector of the attack became the chemical plant. As Russians lost control over the tree lines in front of the plant during the regrouping, their first objective was to retake them. Russian forces rapidly ramped up their offensive operation to generate gains before Ukrainians could respond with sufficient means. Once the tree lines were occupied, Russians started sending even more troops to get a foothold on the plant territory. Unfortunately for Russians, Ukrainians established total fire control over these tree lines. Ukrainian fighters from the forty-seventh brigade released a video showing how they opened fire from Bradleys precisely at the tree lines that Russians used to channel reinforcements. Russian forces found themselves in a very inconvenient position and redirected these forces to counter the Ukrainian firing points. For this, they opened another vector of attack toward Stepove. The goal here was to push Ukrainians out of the village and at least temporarily suppress the fire from machine guns by attacking Ukrainian firing points from Stepove. Unfortunately for Russians, that did not work either. Ukrainian mechanized units were tightly controlling the Berdychi-Stepove area, and as reported by a fighter from the twenty-fourth brigade, Russians used up to 20 vehicles of various types, crossed the rails, and then 90% of the assault unit was destroyed, while the rest fled. The failed attack on Stepove undermined the Russian attack on the chemical plant, and the Russians retreated. Overall, Ukrainian forces established fire control over Russian logistical routes that Russians must use to conduct any attack on the chemical plant. As a result, Russians not only failed to accumulate a critical mass of forces to overwhelm the Ukrainian defense but also got their offensive undermined by using roads that are exposed to Ukrainian fire. The lack of forces also did not allow Russians to be flexible and respond to emerging threats, which is why the attack ended before the Russians managed to achieve anything significant.
Russia has escalated its offensive in Ukraine as a clear signal to the West of Moscow's resolve to continue this war. Russia is throwing more and more men into the battleground, ignoring the losses. Fierce fighting is underway in Avdiivka, a strategic city in Donetsk. The city has become the symbol of a grinding war in which neither side has made any breakthrough. #russia #putin #russiaukrainewar About Channel: WION The World is One News examines global issues with in-depth analysis. In the month of November Russian military losses surged to almost 7,000 a week mostly from their continuous failed assaults on Avdiivka. This was the highest casualty rate of the war so far for Russia. Ukraine successfully struck a train while it was going through a tunnel in Siberia and now the major railway connection between Russia and China has been severed. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six-hundred-thirty-seventh day of the war. Day 637: Nov 22 Today, there are a lot of updates from the Avdiivka direction. Here, the most interesting developments happened in the central part of the region. As the initial plan of Russian forces to breach the Ukrainian defense from two sides and take Avdiivka into a pocket failed, Russians were forced to adjust their ambitious operation. Russian analysts already say that Avdiivka will not be taken anywhere soon and that it has already turned into the second Bakhmut. It seems like the Russian command did their calculations and revealed that the tactic of overwhelming Ukrainian positions with human waves attacks that we saw in the beginning is not sustainable, and Russians may run out of reserves faster than they move forward. That is why, over the last several weeks, as reported by Ukrainian soldiers who are fighting in Avdiivka, the intensity of attacks in the north and south decreased by around 30%, while the number of attacks in the central part of the region has increased. In fact, there were already Russian attempts to move north of Krasnohorivka and south of Terrikon, into the residential area, but there were also a lot of attacks right between Avdiivka and Donetsk. Ukrainian analysts concluded that Russians switched from the tactic of overwhelming a small region with manpower, to stretching Ukrainian forces along the entire contact line. By conducting attacks from Vodiane to Krasnohorivka, Russians forced Ukrainians to deploy their troops more evenly and increased the overall pressure on the Ukrainian defense because the stability of each section of the front line depends on the stability of the neighboring sections. Russian forces also initially counted on the element of surprise. As a large number of Ukrainian forces were busy protecting the flanks, Russians assumed that Ukrainians would not be able to send reinforcements on time if they attacked directly from Donetsk. Unfortunately for Russians, Ukrainians prepared a huge surprise. One of the main Russian directions of the attack became the “Tsarska Okhota” restaurant. Russians unleashed their artillery and started preparing for the assault. Ukrainian trenches were located on the other side of the road, right between the two bridges. Even though Russians managed to get a foothold on the adjacent positions, Russians struggled to get close to the trenches. The reason why Russians failed to assume control over these positions is that Ukrainians had created a powerful fortification with machine gun nests just 100 meters north of the trenches. The fortification was built inside the embankment of the bridge and worked synergistically to rebuff Russian attacks. Russian commanders were frustrated that one small section of the front line prevented a Russian breakthrough, which is why they increased the intensity of their attacks and engaged aviation and heavy artillery. Nonetheless, even after Ukrainians had to withdraw from the trenches due to the constant fire, the moment Russian soldiers tried to advance, most of them died. Ukrainian Tavriisk Group of Forces Spokesman Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun stated that the number of Russian deserters and personnel who refuse to conduct offensive operations is increasing, causing Russian commanders to use physical force and barrier troops to push Russian forces to fight. Geolocated combat footage released by Russian forces shows how Russians were shelling the Ukrainian fortification and conducting strikes with kamikaze drones. Russian soldiers even tried to target the machine gun nest with ATGMs, however, all efforts were in vain, and the moment Russian assault units got close, they got destroyed. Recently, Russians launched a decisive attack and finally managed to overtake the fortification despite losses in manpower. To their surprise, they did not find any Ukrainians, just a machine gun. As it turned out, Ukrainians created a machine gun with cameras that can be operated from a remote controller. Ukrainians only visited the position to replenish supplies of electricity and ammunition. That is why the Ukrainian fortification was so resistant to the strikes. Russians spent more than 40 days to try to breach it. And it seems like this is not the only surprise in this direction because even after capturing this fortification, Russians still cannot get close to the “Tsarska Okhota” restaurant.

My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six hundred twenty ninth day of the war. Day 629: Nov 14 Today, there are a lot of updates from the Avdiivka direction. Here, Russian forces faced tough resistance in the northern part of the region, and in an attempt to continue their offensive operation, they started shifting their focus south in hopes of finding a weak spot. First of all, today, it was confirmed that Ukrainian forces indeed managed to rebuff the recent Russian attacks on Stepove. Last time, I told you that Russian forces gradually accumulated a critical amount of forces and launched an attack with the goal of establishing control over the settlement. Even though Russians initially entered the outskirts, the whole assault unit was destroyed. This opened a window of opportunity for Ukrainian forces to conduct a counterattack, as Russians lost some manpower concentrated along the railways. As a result, the tree lines in front of Stepove became in the grey zone, while Russians stepped back behind the rails to rely on the main strong point located at the intersection of the tree lines. Recently released geolocated footage shows that Ukrainians concentrated their fire precisely on this strong point. Ukrainian drone operators spotted that Russians had created a new shelter and started launching kamikaze drones. As a result, those Russians who survived were seen running away east of the position. As it turned out, they found the closest destroyed equipment to hide. Ukrainian drone operators identified such shelters and sent kamikaze drones right inside the vehicles. Judging by the video, it is clear that Russians abandoned some of the trenches, however, it is not obvious whether Ukrainians can cross the railways to assume them. Some Russian sources claimed that Russian forces managed to enter the territory of the chemical plant. After bombing the plant repeatedly with FAB-500 air-dropped bombs, Russian forces reportedly undermined the Ukrainian defense significantly, then used incendiary munitions to immobilize Ukrainians, as it would be dangerous for them to stay it the open, and then entered the territory of the plant. Ukrainian fighters challenged these claims and reported that the chemical plant is under tight protection and Russians were unable to even get close to entering the plant. Instead, Russians actually lost a fighter jet Su-25 during their attempt to conduct an airstrike. In total, over the last month, Russians have already lost 8 aircraft just above Avdiivka. Moreover, Ukrainian fighters released a lot of videos showing how they are targeting Russian forces in front of the chemical plant. A Ukrainian drone operator from the famous one-hundred-tenth brigade showed how their fighters were hunting down Russian equipment and destroying firing points on Terrikon. One video shows the destruction of what looks like an ATGM position, while another one shows the destruction of what looks like an observation post. Fighters from the “Shadow” Assault Drone Detachment were also active in the area and liquidated the enemy manpower that was present on the mount. But the biggest Russian nightmare is heavy octocopters that they are calling “Baba Yaga”. These drones carry much more powerful explosives and can wipe out the whole squad in one blow. That is why Russians are willing to crush their own drones into them in hopes that they fall. Usually, Russians lose their drones in vain, as the octocopters remain virtually intact. Russian sources complained that Ukrainian drones are making the contact line simply untenable for Russian forces. And this is not surprising, as Russians cannot protect their forces with electronic warfare systems. The reason why it’s not possible to mitigate the threat from Ukrainian drones is twofold. First of all, the Russian bridgehead around Krasnohorivka is too far from the main Russian bases in Donetsk and Makiivka, so suppressing the drones with electronic warfare systems at such a distance is virtually impossible. Secondly, Ukrainian forces understand that ensuring the freedom of movement for their drone operators is an indispensable part of the defensive operations, which is why Ukrainian special forces are monitoring the area tightly and prioritize the destruction of Russian electronic warfare systems that get relocated closer to Krasnohorivka.

Today, we dive deep into the remarkable tale of how one Ukrainian Brigade in Avdiivka not only withstood a massive Russian assault but managed to decimate 200 enemy vehicles. This is a saga of courage, strategy, and an unwavering commitment to defend their homeland. Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov, in awe of the 110th's heroism, chronicled their intense efforts. Manned trenches, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile fire, and 24/7 drone operations were just a glimpse of their relentless commitment. In the first 13 days of fighting, the 110th Brigade achieved staggering numbers – destroying 200 Russian vehicles and eliminating 800 enemy soldiers.
In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the war with Russia is entering a new stage, with winter expected to complicate the fighting and the Middle East capturing global attention. (AP Video/ Srdjan Nedeljkovic and Felipe Dana).

My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six-hundred-thirty-third day of the war. Day 633: Nov 18 Here, the Russian offensive operation recently slowed down. And this is not surprising because the most recent wave of attacks that took place in the northern part of the region brought little to no results and forced Russians to rethink their tactics. The main goal of the Russian forces in this region is to breach the Ukrainian defenses in the chemical plant and enter the facilities. This was supposed to be another blitzkrieg operation that should have ensured the rapid collapse of the Ukrainian defense and surrender of Avdiivka because by establishing control over the chemical plant, Russian forces would cut off all supply roads to the town, effectively closing the pocket around the main Ukrainian stronghold. Unfortunately for Russians, as reported by the Ukrainian soldiers that are currently holding defense in front of the chemical plant, Russians were completely dismantled. Ukrainian soldiers admitted that the recent Russian attempt to establish a foothold on the plant territory presented a lot of challenges for Ukrainians, especially because the weather was less than perfect. Russian forces tried to leverage rains and dense fog in the morning because this was when Ukrainians struggled to use their drones efficiently. Moreover, one Ukrainian fighter said that holding continuous defense is challenging because the personnel becomes exhausted, while Russian forces send a new assault unit the moment the previous one gets destroyed. Ukrainian Tavriisk Group of Forces Spokesman Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun reported that Russian “Storm” and “Storm-Z” assault elements suffered significant losses, and only about 10 to 15 percent of some detachments’ original personnel survived. In order to keep the Russian forces motivated, the soldiers were ordered to put Russian flags along the contact line. Russian soldiers would have to risk their lives to put the flag as close to the Ukrainian positions as possible. In the meantime, Ukrainian forces are tightly controlling Russian positions, and the moment the number of Russian soldiers starts to visibly increase in a particular direction, Ukrainians make it a priority target. This way, Ukrainians managed to prevent Russians from accumulating a critical number of forces and conducting an assault. Ukrainians also continue controlling Terrikon from the sky and eliminating enemy personnel and equipment. A Ukrainian fighter reported that over the last several days, they managed to destroy several ammunition depots full of missiles for ATGM systems. Terrikon is a very convenient place for ATGM positions because it allows hitting almost any target in a 4-kilometer radius. Moreover, Russian sources report that the usage of Russian nightmares or heavy assault octocopters is increasing. The drone has devastating power because while a regular drone carries grenades, the so-called Baba Yaga easily carries four huge mines. The caliber of these mines is 82 millimeters. Sometimes, the drone is equipped with warheads from RPG-7. The drone is usually used for destroying enemy forces concentration inside the shelters in trenches and ammunition depots or tanks and other heavy equipment. Interestingly, just like with regular aviation, the drone is never sent alone on a mission and is usually supported by at least one reconnaissance drone to see the whole picture and at least one small assault drone with grenades to chase off Russian soldiers that might try to shoot down the octocopter before it reaches the main target. The application of such tactics along the contact line in the northern part of the region helps to stabilize the situation a lot, although it is still not easy. In the face of high resistance from Stepove to the chemical plant, Russian forces decided to slightly shift their focus. The new objective of the Russian assault units in the region became establishing a foothold on the outskirts of the residential area south of the reservoir. Right now, tough clashes are taking place at the water pumping station. Ukrainian fighters think that the attacks here are temporary and that Russians will return to their attempts to cut the supply roads once again. However, Ukrainian fighters said that the Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny is paying close attention to Avdiivka and controls many aspects of the defense himself, so the soldiers believe that the encirclement that Russians try to conduct will never happen.
UKRAINE has reportedly bombed Putin's longest railway 4,000 miles deep inside Russia for the second time in two days. Dramatic footage captured yet more freight trains exploding in an assumed attempt to paralyse the munitions supply route from North Korea to the frontlines. Ukrainian secret services are said to be behind the double attack in Buryatia in Russia's far east, 4000 miles from Moscow. A 50 tanker train, filled with diesel and aviation fuel, was reportedly targeted in what Russia has branded a "terrorist attack". A second blast then rocked another train nearby, leaving four tanks burnt out and fuel spewing out. Vladimir Putin has invited Joe Biden for tea, suggesting that he take back the long-range Army Tactical Missile System (Atacms) the US sent to Ukraine. The Russian president urged Mr Biden to visit Moscow “for blinis and tea” a day after Ukrainian forces used American-supplied ATACMS for the first time in some of the most destructive attacks to have been carried out on Russian air assets since the beginning of the war. His comments could be viewed as a veiled threat, given the Kremlin’s previous form for allegedly poisoning the tea of its enemies. Putin said: “They will take the ATACMS back for another invasion. He will visit us in the capital for blinis and tea. “If we are losing the war, like you are saying, why ATACMS?” #ukraine #putin #russia Subscribe to The Telegraph with our special offer: just £1 for 3 months. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six-hundred-forty-fourth day of the war. Day 644: Nov 29 Today, there are a lot of updates from the east. Here, the most interesting developments happened on the northern flank of Avdiivka. Russian forces attempted to launch a new wave of attacks but overstretched their forces and, instead of gaining ground, lost multiple positions along the entire contact line. The first Russian vector of attack was directed toward Stepove. Ukrainian reconnaissance drone operators noticed that the concentration of Russian forces in the tree lines started to increase, and Ukrainians started preparing to face the new wave of attacks. Ukrainian drone operators reported that Russians were hiding in ditches, remnants of houses, basements, and even in destroyed heavy equipment to avoid artillery and drone fire. Once they receive the order to advance, they get out of their holes and start assaulting Ukrainian positions in large numbers. In order to undermine the planned Russian assault, Ukrainian drone operators launched a true hunt on Russian soldiers. The first area of the concentrated Ukrainian drone strikes became the extensive trench network on the intersection of tree lines. Ukrainians tried to identify Russian shelters and carefully fly a kamikaze drone inside. Many Russian soldiers were also caught near the destroyed equipment when they got out for some reason. Other soldiers were caught on the move. These were the reinforcements that Russians were gradually sending to the contact line. The second area of the concentrated Ukrainian drone strikes became the train station. Russian soldiers who received an order to assume these positions were some of the least fortunate soldiers because the buildings here had been demolished, and there is virtually no room to hide. So, the only way Russian soldiers could hold the train station was by constantly running away from drones, which is practically impossible to do day in and day out, so the train station became a perfect kill zone. Eventually, Russian forces received the order to attack Stepove. Ukrainian commanders reported that the Russians did not send everyone at once but rather sent them in small batches of 10 to 20 people. Some of the assault units were reinforced with armored fighting vehicles. Unfortunately for Russians, they continue exploding on minefields. Russian sources reported that Ukrainians are actively using RAAM shells for distant mining and that they specifically mine the most important roads that Russians use. The Russian assault units suffered significant losses and only managed to reach the first several houses in Stepove, which are just 200 meters from Russian positions. This is not the first time Russians gain this foothold, however, such a foothold is too weak and unstable, and Russian soldiers hiding inside the rubble were gradually destroyed with kamikaze drones. Another attack happened slightly south. Here, Russian forces attempted to penetrate Ukrainian positions north of the chemical plant because Ukrainians used it to establish fire control over the Russian logistical routes. Combat footage shows a Russian attack on Bradley vehicle, but Ukrainians continued the mission. As a result, Ukrainians managed to retain control over their positions behind the concrete walls. These concrete walls run along the rails and allow Ukrainians to repel Russian attacks north of the chemical plant with relative ease. Moreover, Ukrainian forces launched an immediate counterattack. One of the Ukrainian assault units filmed a video of the newly captured Russian positions in the tree lines and said that in the aftermath of fighting, 5 Russians got killed while others ran away. Overall, Russians tried to solve the problems that they encountered in the previous attack on the chemical plant, in particular, Russians tried to push Ukrainians out of their positions in and slightly south of Stepove that did not allow Russians to send reinforcements. Unfortunately for the Russians, they failed to improve their tactical position, and because they lost too many troops in these attacks, they also undermined their ability to hold their positions along the tree lines and eventually worsened their tactical position even more.
The OSCE’s Skopje summit was overshadowed by confrontation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ukraine’s allies. The meeting saw Lavrov facing Western critics in North Macedonia as he blamed “NATO’s reckless expansion to the East”. Lavrov hit back by accusing the grouping of becoming an "appendage" of the NATO alliance and the European Union. As Lavrov began his speech, members of the Ukrainian delegation started to leave the meeting hall. Lavrov walked out of the meeting during Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen’s speech. However, after the meet, Lavrov said that it was his US counterpart Antony Blinken who fled the OSCE meet and not him. Lavrov's invitation to the summit faced backlash from some countries boycotting the event.
