#FlagshipOne #Engine Control Module 🤍 Today we're going to be covering 4 steps to help you diagnose your engine control module symptoms (PCM/ECM/ECU Control Module) as to whether or not it is the issue in your vehicle. The steps we're going to be covering in this video to help you identify some of the bad ecm symptoms are.Visit our Website we sell powertrain control module replacement at the best price : 🤍 We specialize in Automotive Hardware and Software solutions. 1. Visual Inspection When doing a visual inspection you want to start out by inspecting the PINs. You want to make sure there are all upright and intact. If that checks out, you then want to move on to a smell test – a simple whiff by the plug of the unit will let you know whether the unit is alright. If you get a distinct odor of burnt plastic that lets you know that it’s not ok. At that point, you want to further inspect the board by opening up the unit. When opening up the unit, you wanna visually inspect for any burnt components or corrosion. If either one of the two is found, the Engine Computer needs to be replaced. 2. A simple Swap For Step 2, a simple swap can be done. This will only be effective when working on an older vehicle. Particularly, OBD-I where ECM does not require Programming. At that point, if you can find a Replacement unit matching you exact original Part Number when putting that Replacement into your vehicle, if it can communicate with that Electrical Control Module, that’s a very big hint that the unit is needed to be replaced. 3. Using a tool such as a Scanner For step 3 of you diagnostics, you can use a tool such as a scanner. Hooking up a scanner to your OBD-II port will let you know whether or not are there any codes coming from the Engine Computer. Once you have Diagnostics trouble codes, you will be able to know whether the root of the problem was the Engine Computer, or if the Computer is communicating then there’s something else with the vehicle is going on. 4. And Process of Elimination For step 4 of you diagnosing your Engine Computer, we’re gonna be covering the Process of Elimination. When diagnosing you Engine Computer by process of elimination, we are going to be focusing on two halves: the Inputs vs the Outputs. The Inputs consist of your Battery, the Ignition Switch, the Fuses, and the Sensors. The Outputs consist of Fuel Injector, the Fuel Pump, the Spark Plugs, and the Starter. With the Inputs, we have to trace that through to make sure that enough power is getting to the Engine Computer. You start off with the battery – is there enough voltage coming out? Then trace that voltage through the ignition switch, through the fuses, and through the sensors. We also offer powertrain control module repair services and powertrain control module replacement. at fs1 we are a leader in ECU Engine control module programming For More Information, 🤍 Read our guide on knowing when to replace your engine control module : 🤍 or Call Us Now! 516-766-2223

Generally, the ECM (Engine Control Module) in your Volkswagen is commonly responsible for making constant adjustments to the engine. Moreover, it is used for managing the fuel to air ratio and engine timing in your vehicle. On the other hand, it will share the vital data with the PCM and the TCM for controlling several systems. When the ECM of the Volkswagen is failed, then you will notice the symptoms given in the following video. 🤍 #volkswagen #carecm #carmechanic #carservice

Eric here with Pro-Rebuild back with another video. This time, we showcase our custom Ford EEC-IV ECM/PCM Engine computer tester! This testing rig allows us to test several key circuits inside these failure prone PCMs to both verify condition and prove our repair! This applies to 1991-1995 Ford F-150 1991-1997 Ford F250 and F350 Gasoline only 1992-1996 Ford E150, E250 and E350 1993-1994 Ford Ranger Many common symptoms of a bad PCM in your vehicle would be: -Cranks no start -one dead injector bank -Fuel pump stuck on -Won't idle -Check engine light on but no codes stored. -Improper reference voltage There are some other less common failures but we cover as much as possible when testing these. So you think yours is bad, and you want a new one, what do you need to know before you buy? As mentioned in the video, the part number is paramount! This part number identifies both the year and model, along with the engine, transmission and calibration. The part number is found on the white tag on the connector and will look something like "F4TF-12A650-PB". If your vehicle has an aftermarket remanufactured pcm, theres a good chance the part number will be missing from the pcm. Sometimes, you will find the 4-digit strategy code on a sticker on the door jamb, or on the cowl depending on your vehicle. If none of this information is present, please contact us and we'll try to narrow down your search. Many of these are VERY hard to find, and we are often out. In some cases, it is possible to repair yours. A multimeter or a volt meter will get you very far in diagnosing a bad pcm. Hope this video helps and if you're looking to purchase, we can be reached at: Pro-Rebuild (314) 502-3104, during normal business hours CST. Hi guys, here is a video I took of a customers truck misbehaving. He called me and said his truck keeps shutting off as if someone turns the key off when no one has. I hooked up to it and saw a code for Power lost with ignition key on and a couple turbo codes. Looked at how the actuator behaves and it was fine. Told him to continue driving it and see if it does it again cause I took it for a drive and nothing happened. He did, happened 15 times within about 5 miles. I came over, wanted to see it for myself and sure enough, this is what it did. My foot was to the floor the whole video, it kept knocking itself out and then coming back. Bottom line is, replaced ECM and truck is back on the road.
