This is a small guide, featuring the Azuchi stage, to help people out if they're interested in Leifang and would like an idea on how to approach learning her. This guide is mainly for letting you get your "feet wet" with the character. Feel free to message me if you have any questions pertaining to anything. Cheers! *Additional Notes - Leifang's Power Launcher (PL) reaches incredibly far at 2.79M and is only -8 on block making it a devious ranged strike - Yes, Leifang has backturned parries... - 2P+K can also be used as a Forced Tech - 6P+K is a very good mid sabaki - If Leifang has her back to a wall, 214T becomes a wall combo throw (perform: 3P, 64P, 6PP, PP6PP) - You can attempt H+K as a Forced Tech/unholdable strike after a PP6PP or PP6PK wall juggle - 3P+K can be strike & thus launch punished (anything that can beat -15 + BT is a free punish, i.e i18 or faster) - 46P is unsafe at -11 with moderate pushback, punishable by most 6T's - 3P+K has a Close Hit property (1.1 metres) *Leifang's Sabaki Moves - 4P+K: Leads into Unshu stance mix-up (Beats Mid P & High P) - 44P: High P (Beats Mid strikes) - 6P+K: Mid P (Beats Mid strikes) - 236P: Mid P (Beats High strikes) *Leifang's Unshu Transitions - 4P+K - 6P4 - PPP4 - PP6P4 - 1P4 - 64P4 - 1KP4 - 3PPP4 - 9P4 - 7P4 - 7PPP4 - 7PP6P4 - 3P4PP4 - BT PPP4 - BT PP6P4 - Unshu~P4 - Unshu~2KP4 *Leifang's Unique Holds & Parries - 67H (Expert High P) - 64H (Expert Mid P) - 61H (Expert Low P) - 49H (Expert High K) - 46H (Expert Mid K) - 43H (Expert Low K) - 9H (High Parry) - 3H (Mid Parry) - BT 7H (High Parry) - BT 1H (Mid Parry) *Yes, Leifang has backturned parries... It goes over B&B setups, Critical Burst setups, Power launcher combos (indoors and outdoors), as well as environmental combos. All the combos displayed in the video CANNOT be stagger escaped, which means that your opponent is put in a situation where he is forced to guess and risk a hold. Throughout the series, she seeks to fight Jann Lee, who is thought to have saved her life at one stage in her past, to prove herself to him that she too is a strong individual. However, Leifang has lost to Jann Lee in almost every tournament, except the 4th one, where she finally defeated him.
