Combine that with my love of drones and going fast, this video was almost inevitable for me to make. The idea started about 4 months ago. I decided I wanted to build the fastest drone / quadcopter / quad ever made and break the current world record. This was the most difficult project I have ever undertaken, but the final result was well worth it. We managed to get a recorded top speed of 401 km/h and an average recorded speed over 100m in opposite directions of 397 km/h or 247 mph. One note about flight time: I was flying the 5200mah Li-Ion pack down to about 3v per cell and was seeing about 23:30 flights. With upgrade energy Li-Ions you can safely fly down to 2.7v per cell. This pushes flight time past the 25 minute mark! Very excited to share this build with you guys. I don't fly much long range but now that I built this beast I can already tell long range is going to be one of my new favorite FPV pastimes. It wouldn’t go too far to call this a flying battery, as it boasts as 130 Watt battery capacity to power the drone. This battery is three times as powerful as a convention dji battery pack and will give you approximately 40-50 minutes of flying time with up to a 10 mile range.
