I have been a fan of hifiman headphones for a very long time. Headphones like the Hifiman edition x v2, Ananda, Arya, Sundara, he1000se, etc provided one of the best audiophile/hifi experience. However, build quality was not best before but certainly it has improved with this current model and it seems they have really thought this through this time around ! For the Deva Pro model, this was not only reworked on the outside, but also experienced a few important technical changes. These headphones with a planar magnetic drive can be operated both on the cable and via Bluetooth. The first important innovation of the Deva Pro is the Bluemini R2R, the included 3rd generation Bluetooth module. Bluemini is plugged into the left ear cup with a 3.5 millimeter jack according to the TRRS standard and works as a D/A converter and symmetrical headphone amplifier with its own battery power supply. Hifiman. If you’ve been poking around this hobby, then you know their reputation: they make good headphones. Over the past year, I’ve become a pretty big fan of Hifiman stuff. I tell you, their headphones aren’t always my favorite at the price point, but they are always darn close if they aren’t. Simply put: just about everything they make is pretty competitive, and some of them are just outstanding values (like the HE6). Hifiman sent me a trio of headphones to try. This video features two them, the 400se and the Deva Pro. I tossed my HE5xx in as an alternative choice for a cheaper Hifiman. Around $200 you may also want to look at the HE560 (review in the playlist below).
