that is just a basic overview ... i show you what it means to make a "submix" and how you can use that for a film mix or for a quick sound mix of an interview session with more than one interviewee. i used LogicPro for the film mix and Adobe Audition CS6 of the Interview session. Plugins used: Sonnox Oxford Dynamics and EQ, iZotope Ozone 5, PSP Xenon Limiter

Quick demo for a question in The Sound FX Guy's discord. How to implement convolution reverb in an audio volume in UE5.1. Now you can do this using the gameplay volumes as well. Very similar setup. Credits to Dan Reynolds and his video on how this was set up in 4.x 🤍 Notes: - You want to make sure you sounds are in a sound class that has "Apply Ambient Volumes" to it - There are 2 ways to send audio to the submix in the audio volume, manual and linear. You will see that the Green volume is manual and the Red volume is linear. Linear means it will scale from your min (0.1 in my case) to your max (1) over your distance you defined. Manual mean you have to determine how much to send to the submix (1 in my case). -You can adjust your convolution reverb strength on the fly. I blew mine out to normalize at 0dB to really hear the effect. But don't do that haha, make it sound good for your game.

Audio Submixing is a great way to group together types-of-sounds in your video edit and it may not be clear how to create and use them, so, I made this video to do just that. I hope to have a second video talking about some more uses of submix tracks, so look for a video on that continued topic. Adobe Premiere Pro really has great audio mixing and routing capabilities.
