An interesting solution from KARPOWERSHIP Co. ,a Turkish company, to sell electricity- I Just add English and Persian to this video.
A marine generator working is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. To give the answer to the question - How Electricity is Generated on Ships - the power is produced by using the ship's auxiliary engine which consists of a marine prime mover and alternator. The working of a marine alternator and its principle, and how an alternator works are explained in this video. A conductor coil (a copper coil tightly wound onto a metal core) is rotated rapidly between the poles of a horseshoe-type magnet. When the coil rotates, it cuts the magnetic field which lies between the two poles of the magnet, allowing the flow of electricity in the coil. A shaft generator can also be used to produce electricity on the ship when the main engine is working. The residents of Rotterdam have long had to contend with noise and emissions from the diesel generators of ships in port. But thanks to a shore-to-ship power solution installed by ABB, the Stena line has been able to cut emissions and noise levels almost to zero, improving the lives of everyone living nearby.
Today, more than 100,000 vessels dock at 4,500 ports worldwide producing around 900 million metric tons of CO2 emissions annually. This is equivalent to the emissions from 220 coal-fired power plants and it has been estimated that by year 2015 the volume of trade carried by sea will have tripled. ABB's shore-to-ship power solution helps to reduce emissions by 98 percent and cut noise and vibrations in ports substantially by connecting ships to the port's electricity grid via shore-to-ship power connection.

Savannah was designed to stand out. But what really set it apart was it’s powerplant - at the heart of the ship was a 74 megawatt pressurized water reactor, making Savannah the world’s first nuclear powered merchant ship. Launched in the summer of 1959, Savannah was built to prove that nuclear energy could safely power civilian merchant ships of the future, promising to make cargo and cruise ships more economical, reliable and faster. It would also allow ships to travel for years before needing to refuel, offering increased flexibility and operating time. As the first of its kind, Savannah carried both passengers and cargo to demonstrate the safety and reliability of nuclear propulsion for all kinds of civilian uses. When it came to engineering, Savannah was an undeniable success, as it outperformed even its designer's expectations when it came to speed and reliability. Savannah also helped inspire other countries to build their own nuclear powered cargo ships. But the once celebrated ship would last only five years before being pulled from service. The dream of a cleaner, more efficient nuclear powered future would suddenly end, just as it seemed to be getting started. US $Billions LASER Aircraft Carrier Is Ready To Beat China The $13 billion American USS Ford Supercarrier is the world’s largest, most expensive, and most powerful aircraft carrier. The 100,000-ton carrier packs greater airpower than the entire air force of at least 60 nations, can run for 25 years without refueling, and is protected by an endless inventory of in-built defenses along with an armada of 10 or more cruisers, destroyers, frigates, and sometimes a submarine or two. Yet, China can destroy it in a single strike. This is the extent of the power of the Chinese hypersonic missiles and understandably, it’s a problem for the US Navy – one that can’t be ignored, especially since China isn’t hiding the fact that its hypersonic weapons are designed specifically to repel American ships. One of the country’s weapons-testing sites tucked away in the Taklamakan Desert has full-size mock-ups of US aircraft carriers that it uses for target practice. To defend its fleet against possible attacks from these Chinese hypersonic missiles, the US Navy has turned to high-power lasers armed with hundreds of millions of dollars of investment funds to ensure that American laser weapons triumph over Chinese hypersonic missiles as tensions continue to rise between the two countries.

Passengers panicked as a Norwegian cruise ship was rocked by a strong gust of wind as it departed New York City. Anthony Ciaramello captured this video from inside the ship, showing injured passengers and flying objects. Representatives from Norwegian Cruise Line confirmed to ABC News its Norwegian Escape vessel was hit by a “sudden, extreme gust of wind” at 100 knots (115mph), causing a tilt towards the port side. The cruise line confirmed several people were injured and treated by the ship’s medical staff. The number and extent of injuries were not confirmed. Ciaramello told Storyful he was watching a movie with other passengers when the ship started to sway. “I went flying as it tilted and landed on my stomach and slid like 20 feet and smashed into a guard rail in the middle of the floor. “I actually thought I was going to die.” The ship was reportedly heading to its first stop to Port Canaveral in Florida to begin a seven-night cruise.
