We'll walk you through what to check first to identify that the problem is occurring at your refrigerator compressor. General information about the evaporator fan, condenser fan, and the refrigerator relay, capacitor, and overload protector, will be provided. Most importantly, an explanation of the general operation of your mechanical-style refrigerator will be discussed. Check to make sure that the refrigerator has power. Are the evaporator fan and condenser fan running? If yes, you will need to examine the refrigerator compressor. Feel the refrigerator compressor to see if it is running with your hand. Be careful, the compressor may be pretty hot. the compressor should be warm or hot, and it should vibrate. If the refrigerator is warm, and the compressor is cold, you could have a problem with the components that are used to start the compressor. A 3-n-1 start kit replaces the old relay, capacitor, and overload protector - and can help kickstart your compressor. This is a cheap and easy repair that may save your fridge for a long time. If you have a bad compressor, this repair won't last long and you'll have to toss your fridge. It is difficult to determine what caused your starting components to fail, so you may be fortunate that the problem occurred due to decay of the parts, rather than an internal fault with the refrigerator compressor itself. 🤍 Thanks for watching our DIY Videos. If you have a Kenmore Washer that has problems like it won't spin, this video is to help you "Open Up" the washer and put this washer into diagnostic mode. These style washers (made from 2009 to 2016 and still today with other brands) have a powerful error code mode that will show you how to solve stuff like your Kenmore Washer won't spin - or at least isolate why that's an issue. Using these systems should help you pin down why a Kenmore Washer won't spin, or other issues like a Kenmore washer won't drain. These steps can be done on many other styles of VMW washers (which all have the green oval lights and go under brand names like Maytag, Kenmore, Amana, Roper, Whirlpool, Inglis, Admiral and others). In this video, we're showing you the 4 primary mode of the Kenmore Washer Diagnostic system: - Error Code modes to help isolate why a Kenmore Washer's Not Spinning or your Kenmore Washer Not Draining - Automatic Test Mode to test all Kenmore Washer Parts & Components - Manual Test Mode (IMPORTANT!) to test all Kenmore Washer Parts individually - Kenmore Washer Recalibration and Kenmore Washer Reset - this mode is NEEDED when you install a new Kenmore Washer Part! This is one of their more simple Kenmore sewing machines and goes not take any discs, but does have eleven different stitch patterns including specialty or decorative stitches. I cover how to thread a Sears Kenmore sewing machine and problems to be careful of, the components and their operation on a Kenmore sewing machine. How to adjust the thread tension, presser foot tension control, the stitch selector knob and how to properly select stitches, feed dog operation, and power switch. I also go over how to wind a bobbin on a Sears Kenmore sewing machine, how to thread a bobbin, loading a bobbin, pulling up the bobbin thread and checking the bobbin tension on a Sears Kenmore sewing machine model 158 series. I show how to work a Sears Kenmore sewing machine and the basic operation including strait stitch, zigzag, specialty stitch patterns and reverse. These are one of the great work horses of the sewing machine industry. Most of the Sears Kenmore sewing machines of the 70's had an enclosed motor sitting in the bottom of the sewing machine. They used a two belt drive system with a power pulley between the belts increasing both power and torque on these machines, making them some of the strongest sewing machines of the time. The Kenmore sewing machines have an odd numbering system for their models. The first 3 numbers denote the series of the machine followed by a period with several more numbers for the actual model number. When looking for parts, manuals or information in general on any Sears Kenmore sewing machine, it is recommended to use the full model number including the series and period in the beginning to ensure you get the correct parts and information for your machine.
