How Far Can ELRS Go (signal strength comparison)? – 2.4gHz vs 900mHz Antenna Test TLDR: My test is pointless, with line of sight, Rx antenna makes the biggest difference. Need to redo the test without line of sight. I recently switched a couple of my quads over to 2.4gHz and wasn’t getting the same range as with 900mHz so I though I would fly them back to back and see how they compare. I limited myself to 500m flights and all sub 250g drones and compared signal strength rather than out right distance. The receiving antenna had the biggest impact on range/signal strength. I was flying line of sight so my challenges with range are likely a penetration issue. I will have to redo the test with some trees in the way of the signal. You can jump to 3:05 to see the results. Як залетіти далі на дроні або FPV квадрокоптері? Треба мати гарне залізо. Але якщо залізо вже яке є, то є 2 параметри, що суттєво впливають на дальність: частота пакетів і співвідношення телеметрії. Частота пакетів 500 Гц, 250 Гц, 150 Гц, 50 Гц — це звичайний режим із використанням LoRa-модуляції, яка має більший діапазон і кращу стійкість до радіочастотних перешкод. Менша частота - краща дальність польота. 50Гц набагато краще, ніж 500Гц. Чому саме так - можна почитати в статті Оскара Лянга: 🤍 Співвідношення телеметрії Більше число означає повільніше оновлення телеметрії, напр. 1:8 означає, що телеметричні дані надсилаються кожні 8 кадрів, а 1:128 — кожні 128 кадрів (очевидно, що 1:8 оновлюється частіше, ніж 1:128).
