The Killers - On Top (with Danielle Haim on Drums) – San Francisco, Outside Lands Night Show, Live, 8-9-14, The Independent, front row. Brandon Flowers: "We're going to play a song we haven’t played in a while" :P Other Tidbits: Indeed, The Killers haven't played 'On Top' since 2009! The band, who were the final act to play at Outside Lands, also did a show at the Independent the night before. The band usually plays before tens of thousands of fans, so the ones lucky enough to get tickets lined up as early as Friday morning to see them in this intimate 500-person venue. After their soundcheck, Brandon came out to meet the fans and took a few selfies with some of the girls in our group, which was nice. Many people recognized Danielle Haim in the audience, long before she came up to play. She was watching the show from the side stage. Mark Zuckerberg was there as well, and he entered and left through the same door the artists go through. Aaron Axelson, the guy who Brandon Flowers dedicated the final song to, was also in attendance in the balcony. He is one of the DJs at Live105 FM. The Killers started playing at ~11:30pm Saturday and ended at ~1:30am Sunday. Brandon Flowers: "Is it Sunday morning? Saturday night sounds a lot better than Sunday morning... It feels like Saturday night" :P Brandon Flowers before performing ‘All These Things That I've Done’: "I'm going to give this next song a little introduction. I've only done it 3 times, but you might have seen it on YouTube... so if you've heard this story before, bear with me. Some of these people here it will be the first time hearing this story, and I want you to know this story.." :P In one of the many nods to being in San Francisco, The Killers’ intro music was the theme from the TV show ‘Full House’, lol. Setlist: 1. Runaways Intro (as written on the setlist) 2. Under the Gun 3. Spaceman 4. Somebody Told Me 5. The Way It Was 6. Smile Like You Mean It 7. Human 8. Shot at the Night 9. I Think We're Alone Now (Tommy James & the Shondells cover) (Bad Moon Rising was written on the setlist) 10. For Reasons Unknown 11. From Here On Out 12. A Dustland Fairytale 13. Read My Mind 14. Runaways 15. All These Things That I've Done Encore: 16. On Top (With Danielle Haim of Haim on drums) 17. Jenny Was a Friend of Mine 18. When You Were Young 19. Mr. Brightside

Danielle Haim) [Official Music Video] Stream / Purchase: 🤍 Follow Bruce Hornsby: Facebook - 🤍 Twitter - 🤍 Instagram - 🤍 Website - 🤍 Lyrics: I'm caught here in my small square You love me but we need some air We'll be ok, of that I'm pretty certain If I stretch my arms we almost touch I've never felt alone so much Would you agree to pulling back the curtain There will be days ahead I'm pretty sure Brightening lighter rays In this world Remember how we used to be Connections that our friends could see Remember when we tried to learn German I told you what I learned today That this all too shall pass away It sounded like a stale, stale sermon There will be days ahead I'm pretty sure Brightening lighter rays In this world There will be days ahead I'm pretty sure Brightening lighter rays In this world Really kinda sure Wait and wait, when this is done Days to come, anticipating days ahead As time goes on I've come to see How much these days have meant to me I know my feelings aren't always vocal As we emerge unconfined I'm pretty sure that you will find My love for you is total There will be days ahead I'm pretty sure Brightening lighter rays In this world There will be days ahead I'm pretty sure Brightening lighter rays In this world I'm pretty sure There'll be a day When this is done Oh, I'm really kinda sure I'm pretty sure For those who wait That good things come Oh, I'm really kinda, kinda pretty sure There'll be a day Times await, times await Good times await Anticipating Days ahead

Father of the Bride Tour
A pop rock band for years, the Haim sisters are among the part of the Licorice Pizza cast. The movie stars Alana Haim, who has been nominated for Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy/musical for her performance. Hr two sisters, Danielle and Este, also appear as family members in the film that was written, directed and produced by Paul Thomas Anderson. Here's how the real-life sisters feel about their roles in the movie.
The Tiny Desk is working from home for the foreseeable future. Introducing NPR Music's Tiny Desk (home) concerts, bringing you performances from across the country and the world. It's the same spirit — stripped-down sets, an intimate setting — just a different space. June 17, 2020 | Cyrena Touros Strung aloft the breezy sax melody of "Summer Girl" is the reminder that California is a state of mind. At least it was at one point. For Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, California is also a more permanent state of residence these days. All three sisters are back home in Los Angeles while self-quarantining, where each recorded their part for HAIM's Tiny Desk (home) concert in their separate Silver Lake residences. But California is also a sound HAIM brings wherever it goes, even as the band explores new terrain on its cheekily titled upcoming album, Women in Music Pt. III. The sunny, take-no-prisoners assertion of independence of "The Steps" recalls the soft rock jams of 2013's Days Are Gone and 2017's Something to Tell You, but the muted techno glimmer of "I Know Alone" is new, as is the moodiness of "Summer Girl," a song that wavers like a heat mirage reflected off New York's summer sidewalks, thanks to Henry Solomon's whisper-toned sax. HAIM recorded its Tiny Desk set before the death of George Floyd, and released "Summer Girl" last year. The world has changed a lot in that time. With its opening line — "LA on my mind, I can't breathe" — "Summer Girl" becomes another piece of music that takes on a parallel meaning in the evolving social and political landscape of 2020. SET LIST "The Steps" "I Know Alone" "Summer Girl" MUSICIANS Este Haim: bass, keyboard, drum pad, vocals; Danielle Haim: guitar, vocals; Alana Haim: guitar, vocals, bongos; Henry Solomon: saxophone CREDITS Artist Video Producer: Ariel Rechtshaid; Producers: Bob Boilen; Audio Mastering Engineer: Josh Rogosin; Video Producers: Morgan Noelle Smith, Maia Stern; Associate Producer: Bobby Carter; Executive Producer: Lauren Onkey; Senior VP, Programming: Anya Grundmann

Every once in a while there comes along an artist who restores your faith in (real) music. They capture you with familiarity. They keep you with their novelty. And all of a sudden you're energized, inspired, touched in that unexplainable way that sorta just shook the earth beneath your feet. Totally turned on. HAIM hails from LA. They're a band fronted by three sisters with two chaps in the back on drums and keys. They've got a deadly and powerful cocktail of impactful, raspy and emotion-laced vocals; song structures that avoid staid, expected progressions; catchy lyrics (in the good way); the stage banter of someone comfortable in their skin and sense of humor; and mega-solos. Artist comparisons flooded my head as I watched; Fleetwood Mac, The XX, John Mayer, Tracy Chapman, Nirvana; and yet they're incomparable. THERE'S NO STOPPING HAIM Having released their critically-acclaimed debut album Days Are Gone, in 2013, Sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim are hitting the road once again. This time they'll be touring again in Spring, joined on the road by Lizzo, in a tour aptly titled 'Sister Sister Sister'. They'll be playing material off their 2017 album, Something To Tell You. HAIM have been the focus of almost unprecedented media attention since their smash hit 2013 album; they've been honored in Rolling Stone's annual "Best of Rock" issue, named both an MTV "Artist to Watch" and VH1 "You Oughta Know" artist, and showcased as Spotify's first ever "Spotlight" artist. The creators of crowd favorites, Falling, Forever, and The Wire, Haim's Days Are Gone album was co-written with Kid Harpoon and Jessie Ware and debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
