Oneindig herbruikbare kuip Wat deze stoel echt uniek maakt, is dat we hem kunnen shredderen en er weer opnieuw een stoel van maken zonder toevoeging van chemicaliën of andere stoffen. De onderdelen van de stoel zijn zo ontworpen dat ze na gebruik eenvoudig van elkaar gescheiden en hergebruikt kunnen worden. Hoewel de kuipen in de natuur volledig afbreekbaar zijn, breken we ze liever niet af. Dat is zonde en onnodig. De kuip wordt vermalen en daarna opnieuw geperst. It causes the release of several compounds in different states of matter. Solid, liquid, and gas. While the gasses are synthetic gasses, the liquids are heavy oils, and the two can be used for different purposes. These hempcrete blocks are a green building material made with a hemp-lime insulation mixture packed around a biocomposite structural frame. They can be stacked like bricks to build walls up to 30 feet high and they become the insulation and the structure of the building. All you need to do after the walls are built is plaster the inside and outside, and then add windows, doors, and a roof! The hemp plant sequesters carbon during its growth, and lime, as it dries, reabsorbs the carbon that was released when it was manufactured, which means the hemp-lime mixture is carbon negative (it sequesters more carbon than it creates in its life cycle). Terry Radford from Just BioFiber says that these hempcrete blocks will sequester about 10 tons of carbon per house. Harvesting fiber hemp using a converted John Deere T660i Double Cut Combine from HempFlax of Oude Pekela, The Netherlands. This machine separates the tops and leaves form the fiber rich stems in one pass. The tops and leaves go to be processed and dried and can be used for making CBD oil or hemp tea for example. When the growing conditions are right the combine can also be used for threshing the hemp seeds out of the tops. The stems are left on the ground and after a process of rotting, the stems are baled and processed and can be used in the textile industrie or for composite materials in the car industry. The John Deere T660i combine is converted be the Dutch John Deere dealer GroeNoord. On the standerd crop import channel with a 4.5 meter wide header there is a mast lift for adjusting to the crop length this cuts the tops and leaves. Under the combine import there is cutterhead mounted from a JD 8000 serie forage harvester. These cuts the stems in 60 cm length pieces and leave them directly on the land to be later baled. Anthony from du Chanvre has built over 45 houses using hempcrete as a natural and sustainable insulation material. Hempcrete is made with a mix of hemp hurd (fibre), hydraulic lime (binder), and water. You can follow Anthony's building projects and get in touch with him on Instagram, or on his website here: 🤍 🤍 Hempcrete is not load-bearing, but it does provide insulation, thermal mass, and it regulates temperature and humidity. The R-value of hempcrete is R-2.1 per inch. Some other advantages of hempcrete is that it resists fire, mould, and vermin, and it eliminates the need for a vapour barrier and drywall (gypsum). Instead, you protect the hempcrete with natural lime plasters on the inside and on the outside of the building. Using hemp is a sustainable building material because it is carbon negative (it stocks more carbon in the fibre of the plant than is used to grow, harvest, and process it). We're very excited to learn about new and innovative ways to use natural building materials in conventional construction projects. Anthony says the cast-in-place construction method creates the highest quality of hempcrete, but pre-formed, pre-dried hempcrete blocks are more likely to allow hempcrete to go mainstream. Hemp seeds are the seeds of the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. Hemp seeds are exceptionally nutritious and rich in healthy fats, protein and various minerals. Here are 5 health benefits of hemp seeds that are backed up by science. 1.Hemp Seeds May Reduce Your Risk of Heart Disease Heart disease is the number one cause of death worldwide. Interestingly, eating hemp seeds may reduce your risk of heart disease. The seeds contain high amounts of the amino acid arginine, which produces nitric oxide in your body. Nitric oxide is a gas molecule that makes your blood vessels dilate and relax, leading to lowered blood pressure and a reduced risk of heart disease. The gamma-linolenic acid found in hemp seeds has also been linked to reduced inflammation, which may decrease your risk of diseases like heart disease. 2.Hemp Seeds and Oil May Benefit Skin Disorders Fatty acids may affect immune responses in your body. Studies suggest that your immune system depends on the balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. Hemp seeds are a good source of polyunsaturated and essential fatty acids. They have about a 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3, which is considered in the optimal range. Studies have shown that giving hemp seed oil to people with eczema may improve blood levels of essential fatty acids. The oil may also relieve dry skin, improve itchiness and reduce the need for skin medication. 3.Hemp Seeds Are a Great Source of Plant-Based Protein. About 25% of calories in hemp seeds come from protein, which is relatively high. In fact, by weight, hemp seeds provide similar amounts of protein as beef and lamb — 30 grams of hemp seeds, or 2–3 tablespoons, provide about 11 grams of protein. They are considered a complete protein source, which means that they provide all the essential amino acids. Your body cannot produce essential amino acids and must obtain them from your diet. Complete protein sources are very rare in the plant kingdom, as plants often lack the amino acid lysine. Quinoa is another example of a complete, plant-based protein source. 4.Whole Hemp Seeds May Aid Digestion Fiber is an essential part of your diet and linked to better digestive health. Whole hemp seeds are a good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, containing 20% and 80%, respectively. Soluble fiber forms a gel-like substance in your gut. It’s a valuable source of nutrients for beneficial digestive bacteria and may also reduce spikes in blood sugar and regulate cholesterol levels. Insoluble fiber adds bulk to your stool and may help food and waste pass through your gut. This video shows what we did to farm hemp. First, we did a soil test to learn about our soil and if it would support a large hemp farm. Next, we purchased our hemp seeds and propagated those seeds in a greenhouse. A month later when they were ready to survive outside, we transplanted them in the field about 48'' apart, and our rows were 8' wide. The hemp grow season lasted about 4 months from June to October. We paid careful attention to the health of the plants with proper watering and fertilization. In early October, we cut the plants and dried them in the barn. After the plants were dry, we combined them and took them to the extraction plant so we could get the oil from them. Our plants pulled some really nice #CBD #distillate, and we made some tincture bottles.
